Song Hye Kyo has recently displayed her close friendship with her former co-star in the hit KBS series "Descendants of the Sun." The actress has gifted Song Joong Ki with a food cart treat sent to the actor's "Battleship Island" filming set.

The South Korean actress has shown her support for Joong Ki who has been busy filming his latest movie "Battleship Island." The "Full House" star had a coffee cart sent to the movie's filming location. The food cart treat was revealed by Coffee Pong through the coffee truck company's Instagram site, Soompi reported.

Coffee Pong uploaded a photo of the coffee truck treat on the said social media site on Sunday, Aug. 21. A sign posted on the coffee truck included a supportive message for Joong Ki, as well as the cast and crew members of the said film. The coffee truck company also shared that Hye Kyo's gift marked the fourth time that they visited the movie's filming location.

The company even described the Korean actress as an angel given her thoughtful gift. Coffee Pong shared that the film's cast and crew members have been hard at work despite Korea's current hot summer weather. The company also made mention of the "Descendants of the Sun" actor and how he visited the coffee cart to extend his greetings personally.

Coffee Pong ended its Instagram message by promising to convey the actress' thoughtfulness through its coffee treats. The company also thanked the actress in its social media post.

In other news, Hye Kyo has recently shown her generosity through a charitable donation to benefit a Japanese village, allkpop reported. The Korean actress, in partnership with Sungshin Women's University professor Seo Kyung Duk, has donated 10,000 Korean language brochures to the Utoro Village near Japan's Kyoto prefecture.

The said iconic village was the place where more than a thousand Koreans were forced to work during the second World War. Some of the descendants of the said Korean nationals are still living in the said village. The language brochures will help to provide tourists more information about the area and its historical information.
