Ahead of "Criminal Minds" Season 12, Thomas Gibson was fired due to a heated row with the show's writer and producer, Virgil Williams. There have been speculations that his character as Aaron "Hotch" Hotcherson will be written out by killing him in the show.

When Gibson was removed from the CBS procedural, ABC Studio announced that the actor will be written out both in the storyline and as the director. The studio confirmed that Gibson's exit from the series will be announced at a later date. However, with "Criminal Minds" Season 12 pushing its premiere at the end of September with no announcement yet from ABC, viewers are wondering how Hotch would be written out of the crime drama TV series.

Hotch was arrested for conspiracy charges when the new season returns, according to Entertainment Weekly. It is now a big question how his Gibson's character will be written out sensibly. Gibson has been a significant part of the show since 2005, so his fans are assuming that Hotch should be given a justifiable ending.

There are speculations that Hotch may end up being killed by Mr. Scratch (Bohdi Elfman) in "Criminal Minds" Season 12. During the previous season, Mr. Scratch manipulated Hotch by giving him powerful drugs. The incident led to Hotch's arrest for conspiracy.

The new season will feature Adam Rodriguez as new BAU recruit Luke Alvez while Aisha Tyler will play a crucial role in the BAU. Recurring cast Paget Brewster will play Emily Prentiss for several episodes.

Meanwhile, Gibson created a Twitter account to tell his fans how he appreciates their support since he was axed on the show. His series of tweets were emotional as he thanked his fans.

"Criminal Minds" Season 12 returns on Sept. 28 on CBS. There has been no updates yet after Gibson approached Miller Barondess LLP to ask if he has a strong stance to fight against the producers of the show.
