The news of Song Joong Ki married has taken the internet by the storm and the fans are now looking for whatever information they could on the rumored union between Joong Ki and a woman who is not Song Hye Kyo.
According to recent rumors, Song Joong Ki is married to a 20-year-old Chinese, Mai Wei. His rumored wife has also made several appearances on TV dramas and is currently studying at Beijing University in China.
After learning about Song Joong Ki's marriage, the fans started looking for more information about the woman who is rumored to be his wife. It is very shocking for the fans to learn that he is not single anymore. It is certainly alarming that he kept his marriage a secret for so long, despite his linkup with co-star Song Hye Kyo.
In a recent article by Inquisitr, it was reported that Mai Wei, supposed wife of Joong Ki, is also his big fan and has been on TV couple of times herself. The report also indicates the quest for his wife began on May 31.
The said search was for a contest in Beijing. The contestants were put through a test where they were judged on the basis of how much they knew their favorite actor, Song Joong Ki. Many women participated in the contest that had two rounds a talent hunt.
The winner of the contest was declared as Song Joong-Ki's wife and this is how Mai Wei is being touted as his partner. The top three contestants were also signed up by a modeling agency and won free tickets to the actor's fan meet. The winner Mai Wei, however, was given 6000 Yuan as a "dowry."
Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki have continued to deny any relationship between them. The fans, however, believe that their powerful chemistry onscreen exists in real life too.
In an interview with Soompi, Song Joong Ki said that even if does ever have a relationship, he will never make it a public knowledge and will protect the woman he loves, respecting her privacy and feelings.
