One trade off which Hallyu stars have to accept when they became celebrity is the loss of privacy that even if they are not in a relationship, fans believe otherwise and imagine their idol being engaged and eventually married to a co-star.
Such is the case for the “Descendants of the Sun” actors Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo whose fans believe they are in a relationship and getting married soon. The desire for more privacy is the reason why Hallyu actor prefer to live in gated communities of Gangnam & Gangbuk to protect their family and personal lives from the prying eyes of the public, fans included.
Song Joong-ki opted to live in a luxury villa in Seorae Village, Gangnam in a house valued at 2.5 billion won or $2.2 million. Other Hallyu celebrities in the same neighborhood are couple Won Vin and Lee Na Young, Go Hyun Jung, and Lee Seo Jin.
Also with a house in the Seocho District, which part of the Greater Gangnam Area, is Ha Jung Woo who lives in a 2.5billion won Jamwondong villa with a view of the Han River. Song Hye Kyo, Jang Dong Gun and Kin Nam Joo used to own homes too in the same district, reported Soompi.
Also with the Gangdam District, the Samseongdong neighborhood is where the houses of Kim Nam Joo, Jun Woo Sung, Lee Jung Jae, Lee Seung Gi, Kim Woo Bin, Song Hye Ky, Kim Seung Woo, and Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung. Some of them live in same floors on the same apartment.
Those who opted to purchase a house in the more quiet community of Gangbuk include Yoo Ah In, who used to live in Seongsudong, Kim Soo Hyun and G-Dragon. Kim Soo Hyun’s 271 square-meter house is valued at 4.02 billion won or $3.5 million.
