Steve Novak will pick up from where he left off last season after the Marquette Golden Eagles star re-signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. The pact is a one-year deal with the details kept under wraps.

The 33-year-old forward will add more firepower to the boys of Jason Kidd though once concern would be Novak’s knee. After appearing in just three games in the 2015-16 NBA wars, Novak saw his season come to an abrupt close following a left MCL injury which he suffered in a game against the Detroit Pistons, SB Nation reported.

Assuming he passes the required physical examination, Novak could be a big addition if he Kidd puts him to good use. With most teams on the prowl for outside gunners, his entry could be another offensive option for the coming NBA wars.

The Bucks will be his ninth NBA team since entering the league back in 2016. Novak is coming off a season where he jumped from one team to the other. He was traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Denver Nuggets before requesting to be waived and ending up in Milwaukee.

The money he stands to make may not be along the lines of the $15 million paycheck he got the last four seasons. That may not matter to Novak at this point since the important thing is that he will continue to play in the NBA.

Novak is considered the second best active three-point shooter in the league right now, squeezed in between Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Kyle Korver of the Atlanta Hawks according to Basketball Reference.

Looking over the Bucks roster, Novak will likely spell the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker or Mirza Teletovic. If he comes in the 2016-17 NBA season with the same guns blazing, his outside contribution could help free up the middle for guys like Greg Monroe and/or John Henson.

Novak is expected to guide the young core of the Bucks with some help from Jason Terry. Aside from Antetokounmpo, Parker, and Teletovic, other new young guns include Michael Carter-Williams, Tyler Ennis, Khris Middleton and newly signed Matthew Delladedova.

The video belows how Novak suffered that MCL injury that ended his 2015-16 NBA season.
