Apple has not officially revealed the MacBook Pro 2016 but rumors and leaks are not stopping with the new one being a secondary OLED touch screen for easier access to an app's features.

Second screens in smartphones are already starting to pop up with the LG V10 and even the upcoming LG V20 but Apple wants to take it a step further and possibly install it in the rumored MacBook Pro 2016. One leak detailed that a code for the said laptop from the Cupertino-based tech company reveals a possible second screen that would offer contextual features depending on app that the user chooses.

MacBook Pro 2016's second screen would be powered by an OLED panel for a bright display, BGR has learned. Besides app shortcuts, it could also feature the Wi-Fi signal status, the date and time.

Apple's new second OLED screen for the laptop would be placed on top of the keyboard for easier access. The OLED panel would ensure that the screen's contents would still be visible in both outdoor and indoor lighting conditions where there might be too much or too little light available.

Press invites from Apple have already been sent for an event possibly for the iPhone 7 and the MacBook Pro 2016 reveal on September 7, University Herald reported. Coincidentally, Sony is also expected to reveal the PlayStation Neo on the same date as well as Lenovo and Motorola with their Moto X 2016 during the last day of IFA 2016 in Berlin.

Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 release date could then be revealed by the company after the iPhone 7 unveiling. Two product launches could mean bad things for the business as they want customers to focus on buying one product first before the other.

There could also be another MacBook Pro 2016 in the form of a MacBook Air 2016. Apple could also release a new 5K screen that will replace their discontinued Thunderbolt displays. Fans will have to wait for the official MacBook pro 2016 announcement from Apple themselves in the following weeks or so after the iPhone 7 launch.
