Huawei is not expected to unveil the Mate 9 in the IFA 2016 in Berlin but new leaked photos of alleged renders have surfaced which shows the design of the Mate 8 successor.

The Huawei Mate 9 leaked photo renders show the chassis of the phone which can give an idea of how it will look like once it is unveiled and released should it turn out to be the real thing. There are already lots of fan-made renders but the leaked ones could hold some weight considering that they look similar to the other previous leaked photos in the past.

Leaked renders of the Huawei Mate 9 came from MyDrivers and they come close to the previous photo leaks of the upcoming Android smartphone, Phone Arena has learned. It features the same dual camera setup for the rear which is located above the fingerprint scanner of the phone.

One disappointing fact from the leaked renders is the gold and black color combination which may not be appealing for most people. It could just be one of the several color schemes that the Huawei Mate 9 will be available in once it launches.

Before the Huawei Mate 9 is revealed, the company has already unveiled their new Nova and Nova Plus smartphones for the mainstream market. Both the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and 3GB RAM, TweakTown reported.

The difference of the phones lies within the camera, battery and the screen size. Huawei Nova only has a 5-inch display, 12MP rear camera and 3020mAh for the battery capacity while the Huawei Nova Plus has a larger 5.5-inch screen, 16MP camera and 3340mAh battery.

All in all, the difference is just $30 in price as the Nova will sell for $450 while the Nova Plus will have a price tag of $480. Huawei's lack of announcement for the Mate 9 could mean that it will be moved back even further by the end of the year.

Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be powered by the Kirin 960 chipset and 6GB RAM which makes it a good phone for the high-end market. The release date and price has not yet been revealed by the company.
