Days before "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, episode 1 finally runs on Sept. 19, fans are waiting for more spoilers to know what will happen to Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) and the rest of their family. It looks like the turn of events will lead to more confusions, annoyance and misunderstandings among the family members in the new season.
In "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, episode 1, Penny will face her own family tension as her mother Susan (Katey Sagal) and newly-released imprisoned brother Randall (Jack McBrayer) came back into her life. She will have to deal with her big brother's post-prison ordeals.
As she reunites with her family, Penny finds herself in the midst of family problems just before her wedding. Teasers have revealed that there will be tension between Penny and her mom; Randall and Susan; and Penny's father Wyatt (Keith Carradine) and Susan.
"We're left with a good amount of tension between all the parents," EP Steve Molaro told Entertainment Weekly. "There's a lot of fallout the following morning before we even get to the ceremony, if we even do."
During the last season, Leonard's dad, Alfred (Judd Hirsch), and Sheldon's mom, Mary (Laurie Metcalf) were seen together after Leonard and Penny's pre-wedding dinner party. There are speculations that Alfred and Mary spent a little time together more than drinking. The teasers for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, episode 1 revealed that everyone would be awkward the following morning after the celebration, and fans are waiting on what really happened between Alfred and Mary that night.
The new season seems will be filled with awkward tension, according to Cinema Blend. There are also speculations that Leonard and Sheldon may end up being stepbrothers if their parents who met at the pre-wedding dinner did spend time together that night.
With families full of tension in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, episode 1, it looks like every character will annoy each other. CBS has not commented whether Alfred and Mary's relationship will develop into something new.
