The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks are reportedly interested in adding former Philadelphia 76ers big man Carl Landry.
According to ESPN's Darren Wolfson, the Lakers are among the teams that showed interests in signing Carl Landry, with teams like the Spurs, Rockets and Pacers also in the mix to land the Ex-Sixers big man. Landry last suited for the 76ers, averaging 9.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in 36 games, while playing 15.8 minutes per contest.

Landry, who mostly plays at the power forward position, could be a weird addition for the Lakers, who are already stacked with frontcourt players. Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr are expected to take major minutes playing the four spot, while Yi Jianlian should also be in the mix to take up some minutes at the said position.
The Lakers already have 16 players in their roster, but if they decide to sign Landry, he would probably come up as a backup option in case the team loses a frontcourt piece via injury.
Meanwhile, the Knicks could be a more realistic destination for Landry, with New York also rumored to be interested in picking up the 32-year-old veteran.
The Knicks only have Kyle O'Quinn as the legitimate power forward in their roster, although Kristaps Porzingis is expected to pay at the four spot with the arrival of Joakim Noah. Carmelo Anthony could suit at power forward position if the team plays a small-ball lineup.
Nevertheless, Adding Landry would give the Knicks a veteran forward, who could be crash the boards and serve an effective scorer inside the paint. Landry could also thrive playing pick-and-roll with Derrick Rose and Brandon Jennings set to carry the playmaking duties for the Knicks.
It remains to be seen whether the Knicks are truly interested to sign Landry, who would likely earn a veteran's minimum. But with the market already dried up of quality free agents and attainable trades are yet to be available for the Knicks, acquiring Landry should be an option for New York worth exploring.
