Future boxing hall of famer, Manny Pacquiao, is on the road to fight Jessie Vargas this coming November but is having a very difficult time throwing away all his responsibilities prior to his fight.

With the many hats that Pacquiao is currently wearing, he seemed to be biting more than he can chew.

Being an elected senator of the Philippines, he has to juggle training for his upcoming fight and performing his duties in senate.

"He asked me if he can box. I said 'there's nothing to prevent you, but you can do it in a manner that will not interfere with your job as a senator because you will be severely criticized.'  And so I said 'you can box during the break," said fellow senator, Frankin Drilon through the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Pacquiao, who was heavily criticized during his term as congressman for his absences, promised the people of the Philippines that he will do his very best to attend to all senatorial duties. Hence, Pacquiao announced his retirement after his fight against Timothy Bradley only to unretired after the elections to face Vargas.

Arum has stated that Pacquiao still has another fight after Vargas and a win would position themselves to have a rematch against Floyd Mayweather.

Senator Drilon held it up to Pacquiao to fulfil his word on serving the Philippines as a senator.

"I am a lawyer, I can exercise my profession as a lawyer. A businessman can continue running his or her business while being a member of the legislature. An entertainer can continue his or her profession while being a member of Congress. Why should we impose a different standard on a professional boxer?" he said.

Drilon promised that he will monitor Pacquiao's performance and will call his attention if needed.

"I hold him to his commitment that it will not be at the price of neglecting his duty as a senator. I'd be the first one to criticize him if he does that. But I will support his decision to exercise his profession," Drilon said.

More so, aside from the senatorial seat, Pacquiao is also juggling his work as a player/coach/manager of his own basketball team in the Philippines, the Mahindra Enforcers.
