Campo Santo has finally given in and announced that Firewatch will be coming to the Xbox One with more extras and features on September 21 after initially launching for the PC and the PlayStation 4.

Firewatch launched in February and has since received critical acclaim due to its unique experience given to players. It also has the unconventional walking simulator gameplay that is surprisingly not boring compared to other games trying to achieve the same effect.

Players were treated to lush sceneries of the forest that the main character is supposed to guard. The story is top notch although the ending leaves more to be desired.

Xbox One players will finally get the Firewatch console version on September 21 along with several new features such as the audio tour that may sound interesting, PlayStation Lifestyle has learned. Campo Santo said that the feature would also feature some of their goofs and a scavenger hunt as well.

Protecting the forest was the player's goal in Firewatch although it does not go well. The game's story could be the largest factor as to why the title became so successful despite being developed by an independent studio.

Campo Santo will be releasing the Firewatch Xbox One version with the Audio Tour and the free roam mode as well which has been highly requested since the game was first released, PC Magazine reported. The developers said that the inquiries of the fans did not fall on deaf ears as the console version will finally land on Microsoft's gaming device.

The Firewatch price for Xbox One has not been revealed but it could still be the same as the versions for the PC and the PlayStation 4. Firewatch's Free Roam mode will also be rolled out to all of the versions of the game which means players will be able to roam the Shoshone National Forest once again to find any hidden secrets or to collect what they have missed in their first playthroughs.

Microsoft will be selling the Firewatch Xbox One version on the Xbox Games Store on September 21. The Free Roam mode will automatically be rolled out for the games across all platforms through an update.
