Photograph snapped on August 30, of Michelle Burton, a Birmingham police official cradling a month old baby is going viral in the social media sites. The new born baby along with three other children of a family have been rescued after both of their parents have been found unconscious due to narcotics overdose.

Birmingham police of Alabama has been called by the neighbors of the family hearing sounds of crying by the children. On reaching the spot at the housing complex of Tom Brown Village at 9 pm, Officer Michelle Burton has found the 30-year old father lying dead on the kitchen floor.

 Mother of the babies, a 35-year old woman has been witnessed lying unconscious on the couch and taken to the St. Vincent Hospital under critical condition. Prior to that, the on-duty paramedics treated the woman with Narcan, a fast acting opioid antidote. The new born and three other siblings aged seven, three and two have been taken under protective custody, reports Mail Online.

Officer Michelle Burton has first noticed the 1-month old girl in a purple gingham dress finding comfort from the next door neighbors. The neighbors have been attracted to the ordeal hearing shouts from the older baby girl seeking help following toddlers' failed combined efforts to wake up their parents, reports The Washington Post.  

Though it has been nearer to finish usual shift of the police officers, but protocol dictates a long procedure to follow. The rescued babies have been scheduled to be handed over to the protective custody of the Child Protective Services at the Alabama Department of Human Resources following legal formalities with the family court.   

Ignoring all odds and finding themselves in the midst of a horrible situation for the first time in service careers, the cops have taken control over the situation. However, Officer Burton has approached one step ahead following wake of the motherly instinct inside and started cradling the new born baby.   

The cradling image has apparently shaken the nation and gone viral in Facebook. Statistical report extracted from the social media site suggests that the photo has been shared for more than 1,000 times. Furthermore, Officer Burton has been thanked with hundreds of notifications over the phone.

Responding to a 911 call, a police team has found themselves in the midst of a horrible situation. Besides following legal protocols, one of the officers, Michelle Burton has been witnessed to provide comfort to a new born baby. The unusual cradling image of a police officer has become viral in the Facebook while recording a share count of more than 1,000.
