NVIDIA might not have announced the GTX 1050 yet but the alleged specs have already leaked through the Internet as budget pc gamers still want a low-end option from the Team Green.

AMD is already offering the Radeon RX 460 for around the $99 price range but people are still waiting for NVIDIA's offer and it could be in the form of the GTX 1050. The GTX 1060 3GB model was expected to be the lowest-tiered card from NVIDIA but it would seem that they could still be releasing the 1050.

NVIDIA GTX 1050 Specs

One GPUZ screenshot was taken from Benchlife and it shows the alleged GTX 1050 specs from NVIDIA, Digital Trends has learned. The new videocard is still based on the Pascal GPU that was made using the 16nm process.

Interestingly, the NVIDIA GTX 1050 is expected to have 4GB GDDR5 RAM which is higher than the GTX 1060 3GB model even though the former will have significantly less powerful specs. For one, the base clock is lower at 1316MHz and it only has 768 CUDA cores.

Some say that the GTX 1050 will be taking on the Radeon RX 470 in the $150 price range but the specs could point to the RX 460. In addition, the specs are also close to the Maxwell GTX 950.

NVIDIA GTX 1050 Release Date

There is no announcement yet from NVIDIA but the GP107 or the GTX 1050 is expected to be released around the middle of October, ExtremeTech reported. It is also not clear whether it will compete with the RX 470 at $150 or the RX 460 at $99 since that would be confusing for most of the PC gamers.

NVIDIA also has a problem with their pricing as what the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 have shown in the past few months. The supply problems have led to the prices hiking up for several hundred dollars and the price gougers were not helping at all.

The same could still happen with the GTX 1050 but the recent GTX 1060 launch was met well with stable prices. NVIDIA could learn from their mistakes and set a good GP107 rollout in October.
