Cesaro is not just currently down 1-3 against Sheamus in their Best of Seven series but he also has an expiring contract with the WWE. According to the latest rumors, Cesaro might be done with the company after the series since he has not signed a new deal.
The Swiss Superman got his first win of the series at a live event in London, England on Wednesday. He was still nursing a back injury but he avoided the sweep. Match No. 5 of the series will be on Raw next week.
However, that is not the biggest news that came out of London. According to 411 Mania, Cesaro only has about 30 to 45 days left on his deal and he has not signed a new contract. The end result of the Best of Seven series will clearly answer the question about his status.
If Cesaro ends up losing the series to Sheamus, he might really be out of the company and it will be his last storyline. But if he wins, it means that he is going to get a title shot, something that was promised to him by general manager Mick Foley.
It should be noted that these are just rumors at the moment and nothing has been confirmed. There were several reports after the WWE Draft that Cesaro got some backstage heat for his shoot promo about WWE management.
Nevertheless, the heat was rumored to be minor and Vince McMahon liked that the former United States champion stood up for himself. According to The Inquisitr, Cesaro is scheduled for a push and it starts by winning the Best of Seven series against Sheamus.
The 35-year-old superstar is on pace to beat The Celtic Warriors since there are still two more Raw shows before Clash of Champions. He is expected to tie the series 3-3 heading into Raw's first brand-exclusive pay-per-view on September 25.
The outcome of the match is still undecided but it is going to be very vital in the career of Cesaro. If he wins, he will likely get a push that catapults him to the title picture. Fans have been clamoring for a Cesaro title run for years now, ever since he won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30.
