"Married At First Sight" Season 4 couple Heather Seidel and Derek Schwartz could be making history in "MAFS" as the first pair to get a divorce even before the six-week social experiment ends.

During the last episode of "Married At First Sight" Season 4 titled, "For Better or Worse," Derek was quoted saying that he wanted to give union marriage another chance. The 35-year-old account executive told the cameras that he first wanted to end the six-week social experiment before he can pass any judgment. Derek believed that if they manage to put the past behind them, there could still be a chance for Heather and him.

"I have made this commitment. I made promises and I plan to abide to them. I am very serious. I want to work towards a happy resolution, meaning putting our issues aside and working towards this marriage," Derek said.

On the other hand, Heather said that she is trying hard to be open minded. She added that she is not taking such a decision lightly. While she takes Derek to be a good person, she does not seeing the traits she is looking for in a partner. Also, she did not acknowledge the way Derek handled himself during their argument.

"The way that he fights, calling of names, are the things I have an issue with. I try very much to be calm. I tried to rise up and stay positive. I would like to think that I have grown to a point in my life. I am 32 years old now and I won't deal with this type of s**t any longer," she told Pastor Cal Roberson.

In the end, Derek said to both of them that he still wanted to keep the marriage, at least for the period of the social experiment.

"I still choose to focus on the great times we had and I believe that if we can get over some of the challenges, and focus on our strengths, we can have a chance to learn and grow as one," he said.

Heather's decision will be unveiled in the next episode of "Married At First Sight" Season 4.

During an interview with "The Knot," Derek admitted that seeing his relationship with Heather play out on TV gave him a different perspective. As they shared a few laughs together during their honeymoon, Derek noticed that since the beginnings, Heather has been disinterested towards their marriage, The Knot pointed out.

According to Inquisitr, Heather has been "turned off" at Derek for smoking during their honeymoon. The habit is such a huge deal breaker that she said she would not go on a second date with another guy if he was smoking.

"I am really angry. I feel like some things about us are very. The amount of smoking, is a huge concern. It has been daily," she told the cameras.

Derek felt that Heather's words came out of nowhere, pointing out that if Heather talked to him about it, the problem would have been solved. He added that when Heather called him out, he immediately stopped smoking.

In spite their marriage possibly not working out, Derek is still hopeful in the "Married At First Sight" experiment.
