The WWE brand split has been quite successful in terms of quality wrestling shows but Vince McMahon is not satisfied with the main roster depth. According to the latest rumors, the chairman wants more former superstars to re-join the company and help them move forward.

There were concerns about the depth of the main roster when the WWE Draft was held in July with Monday Night Raw getting more stars than SmackDown Live. It should be noted that Raw is a three-hour show compared to the two-hour SmackDown.

However, it seems like the blue brand is winning the war since they have been a really solid show despite the lack of big name superstars. Given that they are easier to book, but they have tried even without John Cena, who arguably is still the most popular superstar in the entire company.

SmackDown has a top heel WWE World Champion in A.J. Styles, who is the best wrestler in the world today. Becky Lynch is the Women's champion and the brand's creative just showed how to book a babyface in Heath Slater, per The Inquisitr.

The blue brand keeps on improving every week with The Usos turning heel in the loaded tag team division and the women thriving despite not having the biggest names on the roster. Nevertheless, McMahon wants to improve both Raw and SmackDown by adding more talent.

According to Daily Wrestling News, McMahon is worried about WWE's roster depth and he wants to sign more veteran superstars. Some of the rumored names that were reportedly contacted include Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Bill Goldberg, MVP, Stevie Richards, Melina, Victoria and Mickie James.

Former superstars like Rhyno, Jinder Mahal, Curt Hawkins and Shelton Benjamin are already on board. However, the WWE chairman wants to take things higher in the fall season as Raw goes toe-to-toe with the NFL season.

Besides former WWE superstars, McMahon also likes to call up talents from the NXT brand. There are a lot of stars there that are more than ready for the main roster including Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, Asuka and Hideo Itami.

Nevertheless, it should be noted that these are purely speculative at the moment as former stars have issues with the money being offered. Also, the WWE are being careful to not raid NXT talents as it has become a third touring brand that needs star power.
