Watford began the season on a three-game winless skid, drawing their opening game with Southampton, 1-1, before going on a two-game losing slide. They dropped a 1-2 decision to Chelsea in their second game and were then thrashed by Arsenal in their third fixture, 1-3.

However, the Hornets finally got in the win column by trouncing West Ham United, 4-2, on the road at the London Stadium last Saturday, as per BBC Sport.

Head coach Walter Mazzarri's boys overcame a 0-2 deficit in the first 33 minutes as West Ham midfielder Michail Antonio netted the first two goals of the match by scoring the final four goals.

Striker Odion Ighalo began Watford's comeback attempt with a goal at the 41st. It was then followed up by his attacking partner, Troy Deeney, with a shot in the first half injury time, leveling the count to 2-2 at the break.

The visitors continued to pressure the Hammers after the restart, scoring two more goals, courtesy of Etienne Capoue and Jose Holebas at the 53rd and 63rd to complete the come-from-behind win.

Meanwhile, Manchester United suffered its first loss this term with a 1-2 defeat in the hands of cross-city rivals Manchester City at the Old Trafford last Saturday in the first Manchester derby of the season, The Guardian reported.

Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne scored the opening goal at the 15th minute of the match while Sergio Agüero's fill-in Kelechi Iheanacho doubled the lead at the 36th to dominate the early goings.

The Red Devils were able to cut the lead to 2-1 at the 42nd with a half-volley from third captain Zlatan Ibrahimović, but both sides were not able to score again after that, making it the final score.

It was manager Jose Mourinho's first loss in the English top flight this season and the star-studded team will be eager to redeem themselves in this match against the Hornets.
