When "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 episode 2 returns, Pride will face criticisms from the FBI for helping a former Navy Intelligence Analyst Elvis Bertrand (Tom Arnold), who is a major suspect in a number of homicide cases, Spoiler TV reported. Being the head of the NCIS team, it seems his credibility will be put in danger amidst their impending investigation.

The new season will also see the NCIS team in-charge in New Orleans when an unidentified sniper attacks the city. The team will be pressured to give an answer  to Mayor Hamilton (Steven Weber) after the killer left the city in chaos. Amidst the disorder, FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregario (Vanessa Ferlito), arrives to investigate them.

"I would describe her as pretty bad ass," Ferlito told TV Guide about Agent Gregario. "She's an uptight, "stand-up girl" with a tough shell who's making sure the NCIS N.O. crew is doing things by the book."

Agent Gregario's arrival in New Orleans to check the NCIS team in "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 episode 2 is unexpected and is something that will cause confusion among the team. She will clash with the team, especially with Agent Percy (Shalita Grant) with the way she handles the investigation due to her rough  style.

The new season will also tackle a bit of Agent Gregario's past that has something to do in New Orleans. Pride is aware of her secrets that keen viewers will be able to find in the new episode. It seems that her mission is not only about investigating the NCIS team, but to find a closure to her dark past.

"NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 episode 2 regular cast members include Bakula, Lucas Black, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl Mitchell, CCH Pounder, Ferlito and Grant. The show also include guest stars Tom Arnold, Derek Webster, Sprague Grayden, Jamie Renell, Brad James and Grace Sewell.

"NCIS: New Orleans" will return on Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on CBS. Watch the latest promo of the CBS TV series:
