Brooklyn Nets' newly acquired point guard; Jeremy Lin is still being asked about his Linsanity days in New York. Many are still wondering what caused the Knicks to back away with Lin's success and chose to let him sign with the Houston Rockets back in 2012.

Fast forward to 2016, there are now talks that Lin's lack of defense is what caused the Knicks breakup.

In the recent announcement that Lin will be making an appearance in a Marvel Comic Book, the question had been addressed to him on those rumors.

"If my life was done by what everyone else expected of me, I would've been done with playing a long time ago. I don't really care what anyone else has to say,'' said Lin as he ignores all reasons of the breakup.

Even so, Lin believes that it has to happen for him to progress as a player.

"A lot of the times I'm fighting a lot of stigmas that people came up with and for fair reasons when I played four or five years ago. My game has progressed a lot,'' Lin said.

In contrary to reports, his coach in the Charlotte Hornets, Steve Clifford praised Lin on defense.

"What happened in Charlotte people didn't really see because we were a small-market team. I feel like I've been working, and if people see it, they do, and if not, I still know where I want to get better at, where I've improved."

Lin averaged 11.7 points, 3,2 rebounds and 3 assists in 26.3 minutes during the 2015-2016 season and helped was just short on helping the Hornets upset the Miami Heat in seven games during the first round of the playoffs.

Upon signing with the Nets, the team is hopeful to bring back Linsanity under the leadership of Coach Kenny Atkinson - Lin's assistant coach with the Knicks in 2012.
