Will Apple push the MacBook Pro 2016 release date button soon as the company's existing MacBook Pro and Air offerings are now the subject of huge price cuts? The sticker price for the Air in 13-inch form factor is now $500 less over at B&H and the 13-inch MBP on eBay is discounted by 20 percent.

The MacBook Air deal from B&H, according to BGR, serves up the lowest price ever for the ultrathin laptop that can be upgraded to the freshly released macOS Sierra. The package boasts of 1.6GHz Core i5 processing chip, 4GB of RAM and 128GB SSD, which may not be top-tier by 2016 standard but is definitely a steal as the cash damage only amounts to $750 with three years of Apple Care protection.

The total savings, the report added, is $500 but for a bit of a bump, buyers can add $80 and the disk storage will jump to 256GB SSD.

The specs coming out of the box may not be jaw-dropping but one thing that users will surely gain is extended battery life. The power juice should be more than sufficient for high productivity experience and fair amount of media consumption with the 13-inch MacBook Air.

Or shoppers can opt for the upgrade that the 13-inch MacBook Pro is, which Apple Insider said is 20 percent less at the moment thanks to an ongoing eBay deal. "The systems are brand-new in the original packaging, which makes them $170 cheaper than purchasing from an authorized reseller," the report said.

When obtained from Apple, the same unit will cost $370+ more whereas the eBay offering starts at $1070 or $270 less from the regular sticker price. The power under the hood is a 2.7GHz Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD. And the like the MacBook Air above, this MBP will readily chew in macOS Sierra.

As for the MacBook Pro 2016, rumors persist that an introduction will happen in October and the rollout will follow soon after. Analysts said that fans can expect a major redesign that will leave the new models slimmer and lighter than ever. The feature upgrades packed with the device will likely include an OLED touch bar, Touch ID unlocking embedded on the power button and the likelihood of AMD GPU for the high-end 15-inch models.

On release date that likely will happen no later than November, the redesigned MacBook Pro 2016 will have macOS Sierra running the show and possibly powered by Intel Skylake although the hopes remain high that Kaby Lake will be on board on D-Day.
