Rumors have been rife about Google's upcoming smartphones, but now the release date for Pixel X and Pixel XL (nee Google Nexus) is looming. Leaked images of the much-rumored Google Nexus 2016 successors are circulating online ahead of their official debut. Based on the stills, the most powerful android smartphones of 2016 have the name of Huawei at the back.
Avid fans are excited about the upcoming launch of Pixel X and Pixel XL smartphones after Slash Gear posted images of the alleged Google Nexus 2016 successors. The publication revealed an image of a clack nexus smartphone with Huawei's name at the back case. Therefore, it can be concluded that Google contracted Huawei to manufacture its 2017 flagship phones.
While the whole world is focused on the upcoming launch of Pixel X and Pixel XL phones, it is said that Google contracted a third party OEM so that it could come up with high-end devices that could compete head-to-head with Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, according to BGR. The publication revealed that the search engine giant might have killed Nexus branding to give birth to the Pixel lines, following the naming pattern used in the Pixel tablets.
Based on the official leaks, the Pixel X and Pixel XL have highly commendable specs. However, aficionados are excited about the new experience that the Google Nexus 2016 smartphones new mobile hardware has to offer. Among the most-talked about features of the upcoming Pixel phones is its camera that comes with 12-megapixel resolution and the fact that it can stream 4K video recording at 60fps. Furthermore, it is rumored that the upcoming smartphones from Huawei will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or 821.
