As "The Walking Dead" Season 7 approaches, fans could not be more excited and insecure about what is to befall Negan's victim, and more exactly, who the victim will be along with the subsequent events. At the same time, however, followers are blissful over the news that the show might continue for many years, just like "Star Trek."

In case "The Walking Dead" fans have forgotten what happened at the end of Season 6, Negan, the show's antagonist, bludgeoned a character, whose identity is masked, with a baseball bat in the closing moments. Here is a comprehensive preview of what is known so far:

Firstly, the premiere of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will drop on Oct. 23, although it will air on FOX the following evening. As is usually the case, a mid-season break will ensue after episode 8, with the season's final run coming in February 2017, according to Polygon.

Up to now, there has been a release of a full-length trailer along with other two teasers. One shows Savior member Dwight both riding Daryl's motorcycle and wearing his jacket, although the clips do not reveal many spoilers about "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

The most uncertain thing among viewers is who exactly Negan chose as a victim. According to Sergeant Abraham Ford, viewers will be astonished on knowing the individual. But until now, it has not been disclosed who they are.

Despite the uncertainty, "The Walking Dead" Season 7 opening episode will disclose the individual. This follows Director and Executive producer Greg Nicotero's disclosure that new crew members are swearing a lot in it.

According to The Independent, there are 11 different predictions of who might be the victim. Those not included as potential victims are Carol, Morgan, and Father Gabriel. And that leaves every other main character a probable victim.

By analyzing the rest, it is possible to eliminate several other characters. First up, Grimes father- son duo rick and Carl can be disregarded judging from Negan's final words in "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale. As well, Rosita, Aaron, and Sasha can be discounted since they are not considered significant enough.

And based on the fact that all the actors who play Daryl, Maggie, Eugene, and Michonne have been spotted filming "The Walking Dead" Season 7 episodes, that leaves Abraham and Glenn as the candidates. It is not a precise guess but based on the aforementioned assumptions those two are likely to fall victims.

Besides that, many actors will be returning for "The Walking Dead" Season 7. They include Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Chandler Riggs (Carl),Steven Yeun (Glenn), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Melissa McBride (Carol), Lennie James (Morgan), Alanna Masterson (Tara), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), McDermitt (Eugene), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Josh Seth Gilliam (Gabriel) and Ross Marquand (Aaron).

There will also be four more additions, namely, Tom Payne (Jesus), Austin Amelio (Dwight), Austin Nichols (Spencer), and Xander Berkeley (Hilltop Colony leader, Gregory). One of the returning characters will fatefully get eliminated after Negan chooses his prey.
