New "Injustice 2" details will feature a possible "Mortal Kombat" guest character and NetherRealm Studios addresses "Gear System" concerns.
NetherRealm Studios made an statement regarding the gaming fans concerns over the new "Gear System" featured in "Injustice 2" as they are worried that the system could affect the sequel's overall balance. Marketing manager Brian Goodman told Eurogamer that he and the rest of the game developers anticipated that the hesitation from the fans and stated that they are developing it "intelligently" to deliver something new and unique for both gaming and comic book fans
"Injustice 2's" gear system allows gamers to upgrade each characters abilities and stats by unlocking several loot gears after a match whether they win or lose. Not only will it change the character's appearance, but will gain extra boost of powers and even unlock new ones.
NetherRealm Studios stated that they will add more items and special features in the loot system as players can obtain the powers and abilities of other DC characters once they win a battle. The characters can begin using their own abilities and powers throughout the game but if they win, they can acquire the enemies' abilities and special armors.
Goodman admitted that some gear can make matches “essentially unbalanced” but "Injustice 2" comes with modes that offer an even playing field.
In other news, its seems that "Injustice 2" will have a possible guest character as game producer Ed Boon told Game Informer that there is a certain novelty into it and there is a certain amount of people who think that when they see a guest character that it took the slot of a DC character that they wanted to have.
Boon cited Scorpion's guest appearance in the first "Injustice", which became the most downloaded character of them all, not to mention the popularity of Alien and Predator inn"Mortal Kombat X" which made the game more interesting.
The DC characters that are present in "Injustice 2" consist of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. Other rumored DC characters joining the roster may include Black Canary, Starfire, Beast Boy, Swamp Thing, Darkseid, Jonah Hex, Red Hood, John Constantine, Captain Cold, King Shark, Dr. Manhattan and many more.
"Injustice 2" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
