The sixth season of the HBO series "Game of Thrones" showed Cersei's rise to the Iron Throne and the deadly aftermath of her wildfire plan than burned many of her detractors. Latest storyline speculations for the show's upcoming new season hinted of four characters who may kill Cersei.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is expected to feature a potential battle between the Queen of Dragons Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and the new Queen of the Iron Throne Cersei (Lena Headey). Some fans may have also identified Daenerys as the person who will kill Cersei. However, story speculations hinted of three other characters as the new queen's potential killer, according to Winter is Coming.

A confrontation between Daenerys and Cersei is a scenario that would likely happen in the HBO series' upcoming season. However, it is still unclear if the Queen of Dragons' herself will kill Cersei. Given her lack of vendetta against the said character, Daenerys may not be inclined to personally eliminate the new queen.

Meanwhile, a member of the Stark family, specifically Arya (Maisie Williams), is also one of the candidates who may kill Cersei. The villainous character has been on Arya's kill list since the show's second season.

Season 7 may find the said Stark sibling on a journey towards King's Landing to begin her plans to assassinate the new Iron Throne ruler. A previous casting call for a character described as a "suspicious-looking person on his nightly patrol" may refer to a guard that Arya may meet as she enters Cersei's kingdom, as indicated in the same report.

Apart from Arya, there are two other characters who may eliminate Cersei namely Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Tyrion has the motive to kill his sister given the way that Cersei tormented him in the past.

However, Jamie may also want to stop his sister's villainous plans despite the love that he feels for her. The look the Jamie gave Cersei in the Season 6 finale may be taken a sign that he has begun to question his twin sister's motives and actions.

A prophecy featured in Season 5 also foretold of Cersei's murder where her younger brother will kill her. The same report highlighted that aside from Tyrion, Jamie is several minutes younger than his twin.

In other news, Headey previously weighed in on the character who may likely kill Cersei in the HBO series. In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, she made mention of Arya and Tyrion as the best candidates to murder her character.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is expected to premiere in summer 2017. Watch Cersei's coronation scene featured in the Season 6 finale below:
