Manchester United was able to have a perfect start with new manager Jose Mourinho as the team won its first three games of the season. However, it was followed by a two-game losing skid to Manchester City and Watford, which somehow alarmed officials at the Old Trafford.

The Red Devils came back with a vengeance in their most recent game, crushing defending champions Leicester City, 4-1, also at their home stadium last Saturday, as per BBC Sport.

English defender Chris Smalling, who temporarily replaced Wayne Rooney as team captain for the match, fittingly scored the opening goal of the match at the 22nd minute to open the floodgates for the Red Devils.

Rumored out-of-place midfielder Juan Mata then doubled the lead just 15 minutes later while teenage sensation Marcus Rashford made it a 3-0 lead at the 40th minute.

World transfer record signee Paul Pogba netted United's fourth goal in the half at the 42nd with a blistering header from a corner kick by Daley Blind. It was Pogba's first goal for Manchester this season.

Leicester scored a consolation goal at the 59th with an amazing long range strike from Demarai Gray, but it was all the Foxes could do in the match.

Meanwhile, Stoke City pulled off a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at the Bet365 Stadium also last Saturday for their own round 6 affair, SkySports reported.

After a goalless first half, Stoke midfielder Joe Allen buried a goal off a cross by teammate Xherdan Shaqiri to finally break the deadlock at the 73rd minute.

The Potters looked headed to their first victory of the season as full time was reached, but Venezuelan striker Salomon Rondon found the equalizer in stoppage time to salvage the draw for West Brom.
