"Empire" Season 3 episode 3 airs Oct. 5 on FOX. The upcoming segment is titled "What Remains is Bestial" and it will see Mariah Carey's first appearance and Andre in a deep trouble. Here are the detailed spoilers for the next chapter of the series. Read on to find out what happens next.

Fans must brace themselves as "Empire" Season 3 episode 3 "What Remain is Bestial" features guest star Mariah Carey. Spoiler TV's synopsis for the upcoming segment suggests that she will make her first appearance as Kitty, a mega-superstar in the industry. Cookie approaches her for a favour and asks her to collaborate with Jamal. Cookie asks Kitty to work with Jamal and help him deal with his "inability to perform."
In the meantime, Cookie and Lucious continue to clash over various issues and are unable to agree with each other. At the same time, things heat up between Cookie and Angelo Dubois. In addition, the show sheds light on Andre, who finds himself in a trouble after his plan hits a snag. Elsewhere, Hakeem and Gram do everything to grab Tiana's attention.

Speaking to Deadline, "Empire" showrunner Ilene Chaiken talked about Carey's role in Season 3.
"We look at it in terms of, if we had written that character and she had three episodes, it wouldn't have been Mariah unless Mariah could give us those three episodes," Chaiken told the publication. "As it happened, this was a one-episode story and a character who may come back in the second half of the season for another episode. But simply, we were looking for a musical star to play that role, and were lucky to get Mariah to play it."
