Ronda Rousey set the fastest-ever finish in the history of UFC title fight as she had beaten Cat Zingano in a span of 14 seconds in Los Angeles.

It was anticipated that this fight against the unbeaten Zingano will be the toughest in the course of Rousey's reign as bantamweight champion. Rousey was looking forward to her fight against Zingano, as she had expressed her excitement before the match.

However, Rousey managed to evade a flying knee in the opening seconds, thus taking her opponent down and set to work and execute her finishing move-the armbar which eventually forced Zingano to tap out.

"We were expecting that she might come out and do something flying at me right away," Rousey told Fox Sports after the match. "That's not usually how you land an armbar at that angle, but it works. It was a lot like judo transitions, where you scramble the second you hit the ground."

In line with this event, it is quite hard to decipher who is more stunned-Zingano or the 17,000 crowd who witnessed the fastest finish ever at the Staples Center.

Zingano admitted that her opponent was really good, however, she added that it would not happen again. She said that she has prepared a number of different things to perform and that she also planned on getting in a fistfight, only she got caught.

According to Washington Post, this is the first time in the history of promotion that the two women's fight headlined a pay-per-view event as for the fact that boxer Holly Holm triumphed over Raquel Pennington with a split decision in the co-main event.

Meanwhile, middleweight champion Chris Weidman was originally set to go up against Vitor Belfort, but he had to withdraw due to injury.
