Lindsay Lohan had to undergo emergency surgery after a boating accident left her with without half a finger. The actress shared the news via social media on Oct. 2, Sunday.
Lohan, 30, took to Snapchat to reveal her bandaged finger and explain what exactly went down. The "Mean Girls" star said she lost half of her left-hand ring finger after it got caught in the boat's anchor.
According to TMZ, LiLo was trying to anchor the boat by herself when she got entangled in the ropes, pulling her overboard and into the water with immense force. In the process of trying to disentangle herself, she sliced off the top half of her finger.
Luckily, Lohan's friends managed to recover the missing portion and rushed her to the ER. After undergoing hours of surgery, the dismembered portion of the finger was re-attached and the actress walked out of the hospital with all of her digits.
The actress also took to Instagram on Oct. 3, Monday to share a picture of herself. "One handed selfie," she captioned the post.
It is not yet clear where exactly the mishap took place but her recent photos suggest that she's currently in Turkey. Last week, she met with a family who had fled from the war-torn region of Aleppo, People reported.
Lohan has been on vacation since her explosive altercation with her Russian fiancé Egor Tarabasov in July. She accused the businessman of cheating and partying in a string of social media posts, also hinting that she's pregnant in one of them.
Police were also called to their London apartment after the actress said that the 23-year-old was allegedly violent and abusive towards her. Moreover, shocking footage emerged of Tarabasov and Lohan locked in a tussle on the Greek island of Mykonos in the days that followed.
