TNA Wrestling has been in a tough financial situation for the past couple of months but an anonymous financier helped the company to held Bound for Glory last Sunday. According to the latest rumors, the WWE have bought TNA's tape library but who is the company's new owner?

The Tennessee-based wrestling company is owned by Dixie Carter but she is looking to sell the company. Several reports noted that Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, ROH owners Sinclair Broadcasting Company and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon have made bids to acquire TNA Wrestling.

However, the WWE is only interested in TNA's tape library as it adds content to the WWE Network. It will also help in the future production of documentaries for former TNA stars in the WWE like A.J. Styles, Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe.

According to Wrestle Zone, Mr. McMahon is close to acquiring TNA's tape library but he has not bought the company. On the other hand, Corgan will be the new TNA owner and he plans to rebrand the company into a new wrestling promotion.

It is a win-win situation for the WWE since they finally have their hands on all of the matches in TNA Wrestling history. They can also get rid of their "rival" promotion in the United States while waiting to sign some of their talents next year.

The company has been looking to sign the former Hardy Boyz to a contract next year. Broken Matt Hardy and Broken Brother Nero are on fire right now and they would certainly bring a lot to their former employers.

Other former WWE superstars that have become stars in TNA Wrestling include Bobby Lashley, Ethan Carter III and Drew Galloway. However, it should be noted that these are just purely speculative at the moment and nothing has been confirmed.

In a recent post on Twitter, Carter disproves the claim of several dirt sheets about the sale of TNA Wrestling. She seems excited about the success of Bound for Glory last Sunday while also getting pumped for the Impact Tapings.

According to The Inquisitr, Corgan being the new owner of TNA Wrestling will be best for business. Carter is seen as a "cancer" for the company after making several mistakes in the past several years that almost caused TNA to go under.
