Sasha Banks wins gold at WWE Raw women's championship, defeats Charlotte

With Sasha Bank grabbing the winning title at RAW women's championship, Charlotte loses yet another rivalry against the competitor.

Banks won a gold medal on the main RAW event held on Monday night, ESPN reported. The event commenced with a slow pace with short matches between male rivals but it saw a surprising enhancement in the level of excitement when Banks and Charlotte prepared to face each other off in the ring.

When the match between the two female rivals started, it seemed that Charlotte would snatch away the gold from Banks but the latter not only survived the hits but also tackled them efficiently. Charlotte used numerous massive boots but Banks registered another win against her.

According to The Sun, Banks' triumph is the second win in a row since WWE latest brand extension happened in July with a draft. The event was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  WWE's decision to move the title for the third time in three months has given Banks a chance to register another win and grab another prestigious title.

Charlotte proved to be a successful defendant at Clash of Champions in September and that too against her all-time rival Banks and Bayley. She hit Banks' back while battling the rival on Monday's night Raw's main event. During the match, Charlotte slammed her competitor onto the ring apron and also implemented a corkscrew moonsault onto her.

WWE is grabbing huge attention these days not only because of the declining viewership but also due to the planned return of veteran superstars to ensure retaining its audiences once again. There are regular speculations coming from the sports entertainment industry, including the return of The Undertaker, Jeff Hardy, Goldberg, etc. With the news of the return of the WWE's old gems, the expectations of the fans are increasing. They are excited to see them back to the ring to battle their young rivals.
