Whenever there is a public event such as awards night or fan meet, fans of the “Descendants of the Sun” stars as well as some media consider it as another opportunity to see Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo together and fantasize that the two would admit to having a secret relationship.
Unfortunately, their dreams fizzled out because there was no marriage proposal when Song Joong-ki celebrated his birthday on Sept. 19. With Song Hye Kyo skipping the Seoul Drama Awards, 2016 APAN Awards and likely the Korea Drama Award on Friday night, the next occasion the two Hallyu stars would be seen in public is likely on her fan meet on Nov. 11 to mark Song Hye Kyo’s 20 years as an actress.
Now, with her confirmation of the fan meet and indicators the two could be in a relationship based on recent posts of Song Joong-ki on Song Hye Kyo’s Instagram account, dream weavers are now fantasizing he would propose to her on live TV during the fan meet.
Morning Ledger believes a live proposal is possible since TV shows are popular venues for such landmark events. It cited two contestants in “Dancing With the Stars” – Emma Slater and Sasha Farber – who made a marriage proposal on the reality dance show.
Given the announcement and expectations of fans, all eyes now would be on 1122. As the date approaches, expect more speculations again of marriage, baby, trips overseas, secret dating and acquisition of a property abroad. Expectations are high of a proposal because of the announcement that Song Joong-ki is expected to be one of her three special guests in the fan meet.
