"Beyond Good and Evil 2 release confirmation has been highly anticipated by gamers following the success of its prequel. Now that Ubisoft confirmed the development of a sequel, fans are more than thrilled enough to get hold of the critically acclaimed video game.

In a recent turn of events, Ubisoft finally confirmed the sequel of "BG&E." What started as a rumor and teaser has now become a much-anticipated reality for most Ubisoft games enthusiasts. It can be remembered that a few weeks back, game creator Michael Ancel teased fans by posting an image of one of the characters from the "BG&E," which appeared a couple of times in 2003 prequel. The burly humanoid shark photo quickly became viral which led to speculation of a sequel under development for the said franchise.

True enough, Ubisoft confirmed recently via social media that indeed a sequel of "BG&E" is in progress and that Ancel is still leading creation according to IGN.

"If you've been waiting for news about BG&E... well, here you go! We are delighted to confirm that Michel Ancel is currently working with the Ubisoft Montpellier Studio on a new Beyond Good & Evil game," the Facebook post reads.

However, in spite of being labeled as a sequel to the "BG&E" which was developed and published by Ubisoft in 2003, some commentators are still uncertain on whether it should immediately be dubbed as a sequel. Other reports online are not discounting the fact that a reboot or even a prequel to the previous version may be made.

In a similar manner, the uncertainty of its release date or even a potential postponement are still being clarified. Some reports and unfounded speculations online indicating an earlier release of the "Beyond Good and Evil 2," but still no confirmation of the release date were issued by its developer, not even an iota of a hint.

On a related report, fans and new gamers who would like to discover or rediscover the fun and beauty of the said video-game, they may be able to check the previous installment of the game, particularly for PC users. Ubisoft announced that Beyond Good & Evil would be available for free on October 12 for those who have missed the chance to get involved with the said game, according to PCGamers.

Guess we would just have to wait for the official release date announcement of the much-awaited sequel and enjoy the free offer of its prequel in the coming days.
