It seems that Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in HBO's "Game of Thrones," will be getting a new love interest in Season 7. Speculations are rife that "Holby City" alum Megan Parkinson, 19, has been tapped to play Lord Snow's next great love.

In late September, Parkinson was spotted wearing a simple Northern clothing at the "Game of Thrones" filming set in Northern Ireland, alongside Harington, Liam Cunningham, and Gwendoline Christie, The Daily Mail reported. It is said Parkinson was cast as Sansa Stark's (Sophie Turner) double.

However, many fans noticed that Parkinson is a few inches shorter than Turner, tossing some uncertainty on the said body double theory. Earlier reports claimed Parkinson could play the 16-year-old Northern girl listed in the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 casting breakdown.

Given her simple Northern clothing, some reports claimed Parkinson could play Jon Snow's new love interest. The speculations strengthened after some on-set photos, which showed Parkinson and Harington hugging after a day of filming, was widely circulated on Instagram.

Not much has been revealed about Parkinson's character. What is known is that she may play the daughter of Rickard Karkstark, named Alys. In George R. R. Martin's "A Dance with Dragons," Alys escapes her uncle and heads to The Wall in hopes Jon Snow will help her break the unwanted marriage alliance.

Meanwhile, HBO programming president Casey Bloys recently shared new details about the potential "Game of Thrones" spin-off. He believed there might be more stories to tell in Westeros.

"There are so many properties and areas to go to," Bloys told The Hollywood Reporter at the Westworld premiere in Hollywood. "For us, it's about finding the right takes with the right writer."

However, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have kept up their disinterest in a spin-off. While they have not discouraged the concept, the showrunners personally have no desire in working on another series within the same universe.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is intended to hit the airwaves in summer of 2017. Check out the in-production teaser below:
