Toulouse started the season on a low note with two straight winless performances, but the team had gone on a three-game winning run after that.
However, their winning streak was halted during their last match as they dropped a sorry 0-1 game to middling team Caen on the road at the Stade Michel d'Ornano on Oct. 1, as per Sporting Life.
Croatian forward Ivan Santini netted the winning goal for the hosts, giving head coach Pascal Dupraz's side only their second loss this term.
Toulouse, who was almost relegated to Ligue 2 last season by finishing 17th in the overall standings, is currently at the fourth spot of the 20-team French top flight table. They are only two points behind third-running team Paris Saint-Germain and six points below league leaders OGC Nice.
Meanwhile, Monaco kicked off the new season with a five-game unbeaten run before they were trumped by current top team Nice, 0-4, in the sixth round of competitions.
The team led the league in the first few weeks and are now at the second spot of the league table, only a point behind the league leaders.
Their last match was a highly impressive 7-0 demolition of another middling squad Metz at the latter's home ground of Stade Saint-Symphorien also on Oct. 1, Goal reported.
Argentine striker Guido Carrillo led head coach Leonardo Jardim's side with a brace in the 72nd and 83rd minutes while five other players scored a goal each to complete the seven-goal masterpiece.
Thomas Lemar, Valere Germain, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho, and Gabriel Boschilia all scored one goal apiece en route to the lopsided victory.
