Borussia Monchengladbach snapped a three-game unbeaten run in their last match held on the road at the Veltins Arena as they were demolished by bottom three team Schalke, 0-4, as per USA Today.

After a goalless first 45 minutes of action, Schalke suddenly opened the floodgates with a successful penalty kick from Cameroonian forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the 52nd minute.

Swiss forward Breel Embolo then doubled the hosts lead four minutes later before German midfielder Leon Goretzka made it a 3-0 count in the 58th. Embolo's second goal of the game completed Schalke's four-goal haul to give head coach André Schubert's side their first loss in the last four rounds.

Die Fohlen are currently tied on points with three other teams, namely Bayer Leverkusen, Hoffenheim, and Eintracht Frankfurt, but they have the lowest goal different among the four clubs which dropped them to the ninth place in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, Hamburger SV is still in the bottom of the 18-team German top flight table after six rounds of competitions.

The team is still winless and on a five-game losing streak after pulling off a 1-1 draw with Ingolstadt during their season-opener in August.

Hamburg is coming off a 0-2 defeat to second-running squad Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion on Oct. 1, Fox Sports reported.

Berlin captain Vedad Ibisevic scored both goals of the contest in the 29th and 70th minutes, handing head coach Markus Gisdol's boys another loss this term.

Borussia Monchengladbach is expected to bounce back from their lackluster form in the previous round as they pull off a tough victory over a hard-fighting Hamburg XI.
