The new details for "Injustice 2" will feature a possible release date for the PC version and an RPG style gameplay in the sequel.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding the release date of "Injustice 2" as reports claim that the DC comic themed fighting game will likely launch on March 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. "Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon revealed several months back that a PC version for "Injustice 2" could be in the works, but he did not exactly say as to when it be ported to the PC.

"Injustice 2" for the PC could likely launch alongside the PS4 and Xbox One consoles or on a later date, WCCFTech reported.

Boon added that a mobile version of "Injustice 2" is also in the works as he made a poll asking fans if they want an updated version of the first "Injustice" game or a separate new mobile app, with the majority wanting a new app by 71 percent.

Meanwhile, NetherRealm Studios will likely add some RPG style elements in "Injustice 2" due to the sequel's Gear System.

Several gaming fans are concerned about the gear system in "Injustice 2" as they felt it could affect its overall balance in terms of gameplay. However, marketing manager Brian Goodman explained that he and the developers anticipated this and stated that they making it "intelligently" in order to present something unique.

"Injustice 2's" gear system allows gamers to upgrade each characters abilities and stats by unlocking several loot gears after a match whether they win or lose. Not only will it change the character's appearance, but will gain extra boost of powers and even unlock new ones, iTechPost reported.

NetherRealm Studios stated that they will add more items and special features in the loot system as players can obtain the powers and abilities of other DC characters once they win a battle. The characters can begin using their own abilities and powers throughout the game but if they win, they can acquire the enemies' abilities and special armors.

In addition, Goodman revealed new game modes specific to the gear powered heroes to make "Injustice 2" well balanced. These include a number of new single player modes, as well as a set of online game modes and even a co-op gameplay.

NetherRealm Studios maded the decision on adding branching storylines in "Injustice 2" to enable gamers to revisit certain events in the sequel and the whole DC Universe.

The sequel's roster is comprise of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, Supergirl, The Flash, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Gorilla Grodd and Atrocitus.

Other rumored and upcoming DC characters in "Injustice 2" include John Constantine, Jonah Hex, Darkseid, Doctor Fate, Swamp Thing, Captain Cold, Beast Boy, Starfire. Red Hood, Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan, King Shark etc.

"Injustice 2" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
