"Divergent" star Shailene Woodley, who is also a well-known activist, has remained calm and positive despite her recent altercation with the police on Monday, Oct. 10, which resulted to her arrest in North Dakota jail.

Now, Woodley, 24, took to Instagram to express her positivity despite the arrest.

"One day, baby, we'll sing our poetry. the words dripping from our tongues wet with ripened patience. and the lyrics, the sweet fruits born from the seeds our aging hands are now sowing. #alwaysinallways #heartforward #uptous #NoDAPL #protectcleanwater #iamonyourside," "Divergent" star Shailene Woodley posted on social media.

On Monday afternoon, Theo James' on-screen partner was reportedly placed in handcuffed for trespassing while protesting against the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline, CNN reported.

Together with the estimated 200 protestors, "Divergent" star Shailene Woodley believes that the project will cause environmental damage to the well-protected Native American tribal lands.

Woodley, who has now been discharged from the North Dakota jail, was charged with criminal trespassing and engaging in a riot, which she was fined for $500. Additionally, she was also obliged to appear in court on Oct. 24, USA Today confirmed.

The arrest of the "Divergent" actress was filmed by her mother, who livestreamed the event on her Facebook account.

"I don't know if you guys just heard me, but I was walking back to my RV, which is right there, so that we can go back to camp peacefully, and [the police] grabbed me by my jacket and said that I was not allowed to continue," Woodley was heard saying on the video.

Apparently, she's claiming that the officers were armed with guns, batons and zip ties during the altercation. She argued that the reason for her arrest was "because I'm well-known (and) because I have 40,000 people watching."

Meanwhile, the "Divergent" star's rep has issued a statement regarding the unfortunate event saying how appreciative Shailene Woodley is to her supporters.

"Shailene Woodley has been released from the Morton County Jail in North Dakota," the rep said in the statement. "She appreciates the outpouring of support, not only for her, but more importantly, for the continued fight against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline."

Following the huge success of the "Divergent" trilogy with on-screen partner Theo James, Shailene Woodley was last seen appearing in Oliver Stone's film "Snowden" last month alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt. More on her arrest in the video below.
