Studio Pierrot seems to have been compelled to have "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 released on Winter this year due to overwhelming demands from fans.
Accordingly, the creators originally planned on having the series released by 2017; however, the undeniable success of the first two seasons, together with the clamor of the fans to have it released sooner, left them with no choice but to hasten Season 3. The series is even brought to the international television by Funimation.
In fact, according to rumors, the creators are already working on the finishing touch of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3's episodes to ensure that the expectation of the fans be matched. It is also believed that this is the only thing that prevents the studio from announcing the exact release date.
And while there is no exact air date is yet, speculations as to what can be expected in the next season grows, after the confirmation that creators remained loyal to the manga storyline.
It is said that fans have to expect a renewed and another version of Ken Kaneki, who will now be known by the name of Haise Sasaki, a ghoul investigator. Season 3 may start with the protagonist losing his memory after fighting with Kishou Arima. Accordingly, while living as Haise Sasaki, he will also have a fully-developed kagune and become a kakuja.
Another character that is expected to be highlighted in "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is Touka Kirishima and her struggle to live as a normal human being while in college.
There are also rumors that fans should also expect a more twisted plot of the series. Many fans believe that this is not far from true if the rumors that the giant Japanese animation, Madhouse Entertainment, will be involve in the development of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3's storyline. The studio has always been known for their inclination to gory-filled animations, according to iTech Post.
For those uninitiated, "Tokyo Ghoul" was initially released in 2014. It features a hostile co-existence of supernatural creatures called "Ghouls" and human beings. Its protagonist, Ken Kaneki, who himself is half-human and half-ghoul, will have a hard time facing the realities of both worlds.
"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 may not have been confirmed yet, but the manga "Tokyo Ghoul: re" is already set to be released in Fall of 2017.
