A match between two middling teams Inter Milan (3-2-2, 11 points) and Cagliari Calcio (3-3-1, 10 points) is set at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro on Sunday, Oct. 16 as round 8 of the 2016-2017 Serie A season continues.

Inter Milan is currently at the ninth spot in the overall standings with a five-game unbeaten run after losing their season-opener against Chievo in August.
Their undefeated streak was snapped, however, when they dropped a sorry 1-2 game to third-running team AS Roma on the road at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Oct. 2, as per BBC Sport.
Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko opened the game's scoring in the fifth minute with a close-range right-footed shot off an assist from defender Bruno Peres.
The hosts preserved the one-point lead until the halftime break as head coach Frank de Boer's squad failed to respond a goal of their own in the first 45 minutes of action.
Inter finally found the equalizer in the 72nd when former Sevilla star Ever Banega directed team captain Mauro Icardi's cross past the defense of Roma shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny.
However, Roma defender Kostas Manolas' header bounced off Icardi and into I Nerazzurri's net four minutes later to give the winning goal to the hosts.
Meanwhile, Cagliari battled fellow newly-promoted side Crotone at the Stadio Sant'Elia also on Oct. 2. The match ended with a 2-1 win for Cagliari, which was a second straight win for head coach Massimo Rastelli's side, ESPN reported.
I Rossoblu scored the first two goals of the match in the 38th and 56th minutes with goals from midfielders Davide Di Gennaro and Simone Padoin as the team took control of the game from the kick-off.
Crotone was able to score a consolation goal in injury time, though, as Romanian midfielder Adrian Stoian successfully made a free-kick off a foul by Luca Ceppitelli.
