The WWE has been teasing a match between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg for quite some time now but nothing is official just yet. However, SmackDown Live general manager Daniel Bryan confirmed that Lesnar vs. Goldberg II is set to happen at the Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 20.

In the recent episode of Talking Smack with GM Bryan and Renee Young, they noted that Monday Night Raw has already signed Goldberg. Even though the WWE has not officially announced his signing, Bryan apparently confirmed that the anticipated rematch between the two superstars.

"I'm excited to see that match. Just kidding! It's going to be an awesome match. It's going to be on a co-branded show, but I don't like that they're putting it together and not us," Bryan said, as transcribed by Wrestling Inc.

The WWE might be pretty unhappy with Bryan and Young but fans have been reading rumors about Lesnar vs. Goldberg II happening at the Survivor Series. And to the surprise of no one, Paul Heyman recently challenged Goldberg to a match this past week on Raw.

The 49-year-old former WCW and WWE world champion has now been confirmed to be appearing on next week's Raw at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. He is expected to accept the challenge and the match will be official.

If that indeed happens, it will be Goldberg's first appearance in a WWE ring since WrestleMania XX in 2004. And the match with Lesnar at the Survivor Series will also be his first match since defeating The Beast at WrestleMania XX.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), the deal between the WWE and Goldberg has already been finalized. The talks for the contract were on-going for the past several weeks with the match with Lesnar in mind.

It should be noted that Goldberg is only inked to wrestle one match with the WWE but it will reportedly change depending on the reaction he gets at the Survivor Series. The 30th anniversary of the PPV is going to be held in Toronto wherein Goldberg gets a lot of negative reaction.

The former WCW star was the one who ended Bret Hart's career which does not sit well with a lot of Canadians. Nevertheless, these are just purely speculative until the WWE makes an official announcement.
