The latest details for "Resident Evil 7" will feature a new game demo in the works, a save room and no online mode for the game.
Capcom shared an update regarding "Resident Evil 7's" development as game producer Masachika Kawata told YugaTech (via WCCFTech) that they are planning a new demo for the sequel and would like to release on other gaming formats.
While the exact details of the new demo are unknown, Kawata teased that gamers will experience other aspects of "Resident Evil 7". Unfortunately, the sequel will not have any online mode content as he wanted the sequel to have the best horrorexperience by playing it alone.
In other news, Kawata explained a new game save system that will help gamers to not be frustrated when saving their progress on "Resident Evil 7".
The new save system changes depend on the difficulty settings of "Resident Evil 7", but there will be auto-saves throughout the gameplay. Kawata stated that "Resident Evil 7" is a linear experience, meaning not that there is only one way through, rather it takes place in a linear timeline and divided into chapters.
There will also be rooms to act as manual save points in the game, but depending on the difficulty settings that the gamers choose, the saving system also varies. If they choose a harder difficulty, the saving system will not be "nice" to them, IDigital Times reported.
Previous reports stated that the "Kitchen" demo of "Resident Evil 7" will be available this week coinciding with the PlayStation VR. Gamers, who pre-ordered that PS VR will have to download the Kitchen demo of "Resident Evil 7" and in addition, users can play it exclusively on the PS VR itself as the main game will be available in January next year.
Capcom will have "Resident Evil 7" game be a PS VR exclusive game throughout 2017 and they will not have any plans to port the sequel to other video game platforms for the time being. However, there is still a possibility that the game will be available to other VR gear headsets as the exclusivity window of "Resident Evil 7" to PS VR is only 12 months, and after that gamers will experience it using the Oculus Rift and Vive VR gears.
PC users can now check the minimum and recommended specs for "Resident Evil 7" PC version in the official Steam page. Note that these specs could be subject to change since the sequel is still under development.
"Resident Evil 7" will launch on Jan. 14, 2017 for the PS4, PS VR, Xbox One and PC platforms.
