Southampton finally found their rhythm after starting the season on a four-game winless skid as they avoided defeat in their last three matches. It resulted in the team climbing to the 10th spot of the league table after flirting with the bottom three relegation zone in the first few weeks of the new season.

The Saints held defending champions Leicester City to an impressive 0-0 draw on the road at the King Power Stadium on Oct. 2, as per the Independent.

Head coach Claude Puel's side was able to contain the tricks of the Foxes' top scorers, namely Jamie Vardy, Islam Slimani, and Riyad Mahrez.

Southampton dominated ball possession throughout the game and frustrated Leicester endlessly on defense, but the visitors lacked the finishing blow to earn a win against the reigning Premier League titlists.

Meanwhile, reeling newcomer Burnley lost to powerhouse squad Arsenal, 0-1, at their home ground of Turf Moor also on Oct. 2, via Goal.

Head coach Sean Dyche's boys managed to keep the game scoreless as they stayed up to par with the Gunners up until the full time whistle. However, French defender Laurent Koscielny broke the deadlock in stoppage time in controversial fashion.

Striker Theo Walcott received a corner kick and headed it to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the goal, but the English midfielder tapped it towards the arm of Koscielny before piercing Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton's net.

Referee Craig Pawson called it good amidst loud protests from the hosts, handing the victory to the Gunners.

It was the team's fourth winless performance in their last five games after opening the season on a two-game unbeaten streak.

With the loss, the Clarets dropped to the 14th place in the overall standings, only three points above the last three demotion spots.
