The teaser image was not just uploaded on their official website. It was present in the game studio's different social media accounts like on Twitter and Facebook. They also have their profile pictures changed to the red and black image instead of their traditional black and yellow or white versions.

According to Game Spot, the color red was always associated with the game franchise of "Red Dead Redemption" and its visual aesthetic. Red was very noticeably used in promotional work and its loading screens. The connection is unclear for now, whether it is a tease for a reboot of the popular video game on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 or it is the sequel.

Due to the sudden upload by the game studio, the fans are making crazy ideas and theories about it. The current red image that was posted on Twitter, it has received 99,000 likes and 65,000 retweets. On Instagram, the image now has 99,000 likes and 5,805 comments, while on Facebook it has over 41,000 likes, 3,300 comments, and 3,300 shares.

Based on the tally of likes for the announcement from all three main social media channels, the total count has gone up to 240,000 in just five hours. This new development shows just how much the fans want the return of the popular game title.

The original video game was released for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 in May 2010. It got the Xbox One backwards compatibility support for the Xbox One, but it was not playable on the PlayStation 4. "Red Dead Revolver" was re-released on the PS4 on Oct. 11, which could have been giving way for the sequel.
