The Undertaker trended on social media last week after photos of him with crutches went viral as fans speculate about his status. The latest rumors have revealed updates on The Undertaker's health and if he will be able to have a match at WrestleMania 33.

The 51-year-old legend has not appeared on television since WrestleMania 32 in April when he defeated Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell Match. There were several reports noting that The Undertaker was telling people backstage that it was his last match.

However, the WWE has not made it official and there was contact between the two sides in the past several months. Vince McMahon reportedly wanted The Undertaker to appear at SummerSlam and the WWE Draft but no deal was made.

It should be noted that The Deadman still has a contract with the WWE but he is only required to wrestle one match per year. Many fans are hoping that The Undertaker will be wrestling again next year in Orlando, possibly against John Cena.

But a recent viral photo of The Undertaker is not a great sight since he needs crutches to walk. It means that he has difficulty walking around and if he is, he would have to do a lot of work before he gets cleared to wrestle again.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Undertaker is legitimately hurt and he is not sure if the legend will be able to wrestle. He noted that things might change at the end of the year but based on the photos, it is likely that fans have seen the last of The Phenom.

"Obviously, The Undertaker is hurt. He was on two crutches, not just one," Meltzer said.

"Put it this way, I looked at those pictures and I thought, man, he may be done for real this time," he added.

According to Cageside Seats, the WWE is still hoping that The Undertaker can work a match against Cena at WrestleMania 33 next year. A dream match with Cena is one of the current plans for the biggest wrestling event of 2017.

The Undertaker vs. Cena was the scheduled match at WrestleMania 32 but Cena suffered a shoulder injury and Shane was called in as a replacement. It should be noted that these are just rumors at the moment and nothing has been confirmed.
