KBS2's "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds," also known as "Love in the Moonlight" finale (episode 18) is here. The fan-favourite show starring Park Bo-gum as Lee Yeong and Kim Yoo-jung as Hong Ra-on will come to a close with a highly anticipated final episode revealing the couple's fate. In episode 17, the rebels managed to free Hong Kyung-nae and Ra On free. Amid all the chaos, Byung-yeon gets injured. However, he is saved. The Crown Prince is devastated and pines for Ra On. A battle of sorts broke out between the soldiers and the rebels and Eunuch Han lost his life.
"Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" featured a time-jump wherein the ministers want the king to dethrone Lee Yeong for his behaviour. However, the king is reluctant to do so. The assassin is caught and the Minister is exposed. When Byung-yeon wakes up Lee Yeong pays him gratitude for protecting him and his love. Meanwhile, Prime Minster Kim plans to kill the Crown Prince and put Yoon-sung on the throne.
"Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" episode 17 ended with a major cliffhanger wherein Lee Yeong drinks a mouthful of a poisoned drink served by Court Lady Ha-yeon. Will the Crown Prince die and the series have a tragic ending?
A promo video for "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" episode 18 (finale) shows the Crown Prince collapse on the floor after drinking poison. Elsewhere, Ra On's eternity bracelet, given to her by Lee Yeong, breaks, and the beads spread on the floor. As the court ladies run towards the Crown Prince, it seems the poison has done its job and Lee Yeong lays unconscious.
"Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" finale is expected to reveal Lee Yeong's fate. At the same time, episode 18 will reveal the end of Prince and Ra On's love story. Meanwhile, in the last hour, the show is expected to tie up the loose ends and resolve several conflicts. Scroll down to watch the promo.
According to International Business Times, speculations are Lee Yeong will successfully be able to clear his and Ra On's father name and end up marrying Ra On. At the same time, there are speculations suggesting a tragic end to the love story.
