With the upcoming centenary episode of "Arrow," showrunners are preparing a riveting crossover that includes superhero characters from "The Flash," "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow." Latest spoiler news teased of Malcolm and Damien's special appearance in the CW series.
"Arrow" Season 5 will soon release an action-packed episode filled with several familiar faces from earlier seasons of the CW series. The show's upcoming 100th episode will also feature a crossover that includes the Flash (Grant Gustin), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and other characters.
Previous reports have already revealed Moira (Susanna Thompson), Robert (Jamey Sheridan) and Laurel's (Katie Cassidy) special return for the crossover episode. In a recent press event, showrunner Marc Guggenheim confirmed Malcolm's (John Barrowman) upcoming appearance including Oliver's (Stephen Amell) old foe, Damien (Neal McDonough).
The series' co-creator also conveyed his excitement for the upcoming "Arrow" crossover episode that he described as a "love letter to the show," IGN quoted him as saying. With Supergirl and the Flash teaming up with Oliver, the centenary episode will feature "incredibly iconic moments" and fun scenes, according to the showrunner.
Guggenheim also teased of cast member Amell's amazing performance in the crossover episode. Viewers may even find themselves heartbroken over Oliver's plight and challenges.
Meanwhile, the Flash may have appeared several times in Oliver's world, however, the upcoming 100th episode will serve as Supergirl's first appearance in "Arrow." In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Andrew Kreisberg revealed that several characters will be charmed by the Man of Steel's cousin.
Sara (Caity Lotz) and Dig (David Ramsey) will be impressed with Supergirl's abilities and sunny disposition. The Kryptonian heroine will also serve as Sara's girl crush, according to the executive producer.
However, Supergirl may have a tense encounter with Oliver who is adamant at keeping his distance from the superheroine. Despite the Green Arrow's animosity, Oliver, his team and his newfound friends will work together to defeat the Dominators in the upcoming crossover episode.
"Arrow" Season 5 airs every Wednesday on the CW, meanwhile, the 100th episode is scheduled for release on Nov. 30. Watch the teaser for the show's upcoming episode 4 below:
