Pangu, a Chinese jailbreak development team, has been playing a waiting game with Apple in its iOS 10 jailbreak tool release. The tech giant just rolled out the fifth beta for iOS 10.1, the first major update for the mobile operating system.

Apple has been working on the release of small iterations of the software in the past months and the Cupertino-based firm is getting close to the official launch of the iOS 10.1. However, there is no release of any jailbreak tool for this OS yet and Pangu is still silent about it, making jailbreak users worry.

According to Pangu8, Pangu was able to release a working jailbreak tool for the first beta version of the iOS 10, therefore, without any subsequent updates about the upcoming iOS, it is normal for fans to start worrying. It is said that the team is just taking its time and it is possible that the jailbreak tool will be availed once the iPhone maker releases the official iOS 10.1 version.

It is rumored that Pangu team is waiting to formulate the right tools and tweaks when it comes to bypassing the security measures employed by Apple on the iOS 10 and its updates. Apple has been releasing small updates such as the iOS 10.0.1 and iOS 10.0.2, and the iOS 10.0.2 rollout may have put a temporary stop in terms of the jailbreaking, MobiPicker reported.

Pangu's move to wait until the iOS 10.1 is released first may be its plan all along as the hacker group will manage to avail an iOS 10 jailbreak that can circumvent all these jailbreak-cancelling tweaks Apple used. Apple is now focused on the new iteration of iOS 10.1 and the fifth beta is already out, hence, it should not be long before the iOS 10 jailbreak by Pangu is released.

Pangu may only be buying time in order to make the new jailbreak available for public use and the iOS 10 jailbreak may be just around the corner with final touches underway before Pangu officially roll it out.
