The latest details and spoilers for "Suicide Squad 2" will have the sequel's possible plot and release date announcement, as well as the running time and special features of the "Suicide Squad Extended Cut".
Rumors are making rounds regarding the possible release date for "Suicide Squad 2" film as someone from 4Chan claimed that Warner Bros. will likely reveal the sequel's launch date on September 2017.
There is also a possible plot for "Suicide Squad 2" as cast member Karen Fukuhara stated during the Rose City Comic Con event that the sequel will explore more of Tatsu Yamashiro/Katana's backstory and how she handles her Soultaker sword, her diseased husband and explore further her life before she became the warrior that audiences see now in the first film, 411Mania reported.
One flaw on the "Suicide Squad" movie was the lacked of character exploration as the film gave only glimpse and bits of each of the DC villains past prior to being incarcerated or recruited to Task Force X and hopefully the sequel could give fans more background on them.
Director David Ayer claimed that they shot the last part of the "Suicide Squad" movie first and it gave him an idea for a possible story as he stated that anything could happen, the relationship between Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and the Joker (Jared Leto) will be explored event further once the sequel is on track.
Meanwhile, it seems that the running time and special features for the "Suicide Squad Extended Cut" version has been revealed.
According to the DC Entertainment Reddit page, the "Suicide Squad Extended Cut" version will run for 134 minutes, which is 11 minutes longer than the actual film. While the extended cuts in "Suicide Squad" will not be as long as "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice", there is still a chance that the new scenes are valuable and will add further insight to the colorful characters in the film.
Aside from the running time, the extended cut version of "Suicide Squad" will also have some bonus features such as "Task Force X: One Team, One Mission", which covers the history of DC's most notorious characters that ever joined the team, "Squad Strength and Skills", which likely explores the actors preparing for there roles, "Joker and Harley: The ‘It’ Couple of the Underworld" which explores Joker and Harley's relationship, "Chasing the Real", which reveals Ayer's techniques for creating an authentic surreal world and "Gag Reel", Screenrant reported.
There is no release date announcement yet for "Suicide Squad 2".
