5 must-watch horror films perfect for the Halloween

Since Halloween is only a few days from now, while some preparing for the children's trick or treat, others are on the hunt for the best horror films they should watch come the holiday. In this article, 5 of the must-watch horror films that are perfect for viewing during the Halloween are listed.

According to Inverse, the top 5 horror films are the following:

Starting with number 5, the publication listed "Sleepy Hollow" at the fifth spot. Starring Johnny Depp, his collaboration with Tim Burton to create a reboot of the once promising TV show in the big screen somehow helped establish his career.

In the fourth spot is "The Amityville Horror" starring Ryan Reynolds. The 2005 movie is a remake of the 1979 classic which delivers genuine thrills coupled with intensity and depth. The publication noted this has been one of the greatest performances of Reynolds during his entire career.

In the 3rd place is "The Uninvited" which tells the story of a female protagonist freshly released from the Asylum. The story made horror to the life of the character portrayed by Emily Browning through other elements like an evil stepmother and a narrator with a jumbled memory.

In the number 2 spot is "Children of the Corn" where numerous horror films involving creepy children, creepy small towns and couple entering a small space were derived. The movie's success was accounted when it became a film franchise that is longer than "The Land Before Time."

"Jaws" was hailed as the number 1 horror film. The movie franchise already had four installments, namely. "Jaws 1, 2, 3" and "Jaws: The Revenge."
