Fans could not wait any longer to watch "Prison Break" Season 5, which is set to premiere early in 2017. Only a few months before it airs, several spoilers have come out to give viewers a glimpse of what they could possibly see in the new season of the hit Fox TV series.

Here are the top 5 spoilers of "Prison Break" Season 5 that you could probably expect:

1.     Michael Scofield is alive.

Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) did not pass away as it was presumed by most viewers. The new season will see Michael returning in the Yemini prison cell. At the end of Season 4, his wife Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) was with his son visiting the grave of Michael, but it was all just a set up.

Michael's return will put his life at greater risk because he is now associated with an ISIS-related group that does not tolerate anyone who quits. His brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) will be there to rescue him, but it will put also his life in danger.

"If people start finding out that Michael is still alive, then it puts their larger secret agenda at risk," executive producer Paul Scheuring old Entertainment Weekly. "They'll kill anybody that finds out."

2.     Some characters will be returning in "Prison Break" Season 5.

Michael will be rescued by his brother Lincoln with the help of their fellow Fox River escapees Fernando Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) and C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar). Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell (Robert Knepper) is also returning as well as the hitman-turned-politician Paul Kellerman (Paul Adelstein).

3.     Season 5 is expected to be seen not later than April 2017.

The showing of "Prison Break" new season is expected to air not later than April 2017 as part of the network's midseason slate. Both Miller and Purcell are busy filming The CW's action-adventure TV series, "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2.

It is expected that both the actors will be juggling their schedules to finish both the series on time. The new season will air every Thursdays at 9/8 c on Fox.

4.     The new season will return several years after the previous season.

"Prison Break" Season 5 will return seven years after the last season.  With the huge time gap, many things had happened, particularly that Sara already assumed that Michael is dead.

Sara is now living with her new husband Scott Ness (Mark Feuerstein), which is expected to cause hurt and shock to both of them. Whether Sara will move on with her new life or she will reunite with Michael is something that viewers have to see when the new season returns.

5.     Lincoln may die.

Lincoln may get killed in "Prison Break" Season 5 as the group tried to break Michael out of prison, according to Digital Spy. Michael saved Lincoln's life is the freshman season of the series, and this time, the latter is going to prove that he is a real brother by risking his own life for Michael.
